About Sun Valley Pecan Co.
Welcome to the newest addition to our web site. We have teamed up with some our neighbors,
and launched Sun Valley Pecan Company. The Davis, and Maros families have established a
legacy as top notch farmers, and have impeccable reputations, both families have proven real
assets to our organization. This alliance, brings our own farms production to four million
pounds, and our total shelling capacity to twenty million pounds annually.
Our decision to build a shelling plant, was based on the pride we take in producing some of the best
Westerns available, and of course the economics of farming today.
It is our goal first, and foremost to provide unsurpassed honesty, and integrity in all of our
endeavors . It is not our goal to be the largest, rather we want only to be the best. Best in customer
service, best in quality, and best in value. Sun Valley Pecan Company is different, from the box we
package our pecans in, to the meticulous care we take in the quality of our product. We are also
different, in that all of our pecans come from either our own farms or from farmers we personally know,
and trust. All of our pecans are also produced within the weevil free quarantine area. This means, our
product is worm-free, and you have one less contaminate to worry about.
Within our facility you will find modern, state of the art equipment from the industry’s leading
manufacturers, such as Quantz, Modern Electronics, and Satake. Our contaminate prevention program
also includes a “DSP3 Metal Detector” by Thermo Goring Kerr, the food industry’s leader in metal
detection technology. We have put together a tried and proven management team along with the best
equipment, to insure a top notch finished product.
Stringent manufacturing practices, and quality control programs are top priority here at Sun
Valley Pecan Company. We are open for your inspection at any time, so you may witness first hand, our
commitment to the highest standards, and level of accountability. Silliker Laboratories will serve as an
independent verifier of our HACCP program and handle our regular laboratory analysis. We are certified
Kosher by the Orthodox Union, our facilities and production are under the supervision of Rabbi
Goldburg.
We are also assembling food safety, and sanitation programs to meet the American Institute of
Baking’s “Gold Standard Certification”.

This is a very difficult accreditation to achieve, as a matter of fact, no one in the pecan industry has to
date earned an A.I.B. “Gold Standard Certification” . From unannounced audits, to the required
independent verification of your entire HACCP program. Gold Standard Certification is definitely,
above and beyond superior.
