Special thanks to: RC, Kennesaw, AK Servings: 8 Directions: 1/2 cup butter 1 cup light corn syrup 1 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 -2 cups Surratt Farms pecan halves 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In small saucepan, cook butter over low heat until it becomes golden brown. Be careful not to burn. Then let butter cool. In a mixing bowl stir together corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt until well combined. Then stir in cooled, brown butter. Pour the browned butter mixture over the pecans. Bake for 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Then reduce over temperature to 325 degrees and continue to bake pie for 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is set. Place pecans in bottom of pie crust Special Notes: I have always used a family pecan pie recipe, until I got this one from a friend. After trying this recipe, I no longer use my old family recipe. This is the best pecan pie we have ever eaten. The brown butter makes a world of difference.
