Pecan Spice Bars

Special thanks to: IO, Moline, IL Servings: 18 Directions: 1 C. margarine, at room temperature 1 C. light brown sugar, firmly packed 1 tsp. vanilla 1 large egg,separated 2 C. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 C. finely chopped Surratt Farms Pecans Preparation: Cream margarine and sugar; beat in flavoring and egg yolk. Sift together flour, salt, and cinnamon; stir into creamed mixture with half of the finely chopped pecans. Mix until well blended. Press into a greased and floured 15x10x3/4 inch jelly roll pan. Brush top with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle remaining chopped pecans evenly over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm. Special Notes: Such an easy recipe to put together and so delicious. Also good for picnics and bake sales.
