Texas Pecan Loaf

Special thanks to: JK, Spring Creek, NV Servings: 12 Directions: 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup flour dash of salt 1 lb. chopped dates 3 cups chopped Surratt Pecans 3 eggs, beaten Mix sugar and flour (do not use resifted) with salt. Add dates and Surratt Pecans. Mix all ingredients well with beaten eggs. Pour mixture into foil lined bread pan and bake for one hour at 300 degrees. Special Notes: This recipe can also be divided into 2 or 3 tiny pans for gift size or tripled for 9 - 12 gift sizes. I have also made this recipe omitting the dates and adding a few more pecans. This is our all-time favorite!!!!! Hope it is yours too!!!!!
