Butter Pecan Candy

Special thanks to: BT, Ferrelview, MO Servings: 1 Directions: Put 1 stick of butter (not oleo) into 9 x 13" pan. Add 2 - 3 cups of pecans. Bake in 250 degree oven for 20 - 30 minutes stirring occasionally until pecans are roasted. Be careful not to burn. Melt 1 (8 oz.) package Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Add one (1) box powdered sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla. Mix well. Pour roasted pecans and butter into powdered sugar and cheese. Stir very well. Pour back into same pan (it is already buttered) or pour on a buttered plate. Refrigerate for several hours until firm and cut into squares. Keep refrigerated. Special Notes: At Christmas, I divide candy and use green food coloring and red food coloring so I have red, green and white candy to arrange on a candy dish
