Pecan and Red Onion Bread
Special thanks to: PP, Roselle, IL Servings: 12 Directions: Using your bread machine, add the following ingredients: 1 pkg yeast 3 cups bread flour 1 1/2 tsp sugar 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup plus 1 tbsp. warm milk 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup chopped fresh red onion 3/4 cup Surratt Farms chopped pecans (use ingredients at room temperature) Combine all ingredients in the order given and select white bread setting. Special Notes: If you don't have a bread machine, you can use the old fashioned bread making technique adding a bit more flour to knead the dough on your floured kneading surface. Let the dough rise in a warm oven until doubled in size. Punch it down and shape in your loaf pan. Let it rise again for about 45 minutes then bake.
